We warmly welcome to the talk event “TEXTILE POSTERS – the story behind the making of the book”
The panel will include Tokuko Shimizu, the artist behind the textile posters, plus the authors of the book “Tokuko Shimizu: TEXTILE POSTERS”: Gottingham, Miho Shimizu, and Kanako Iwanaka. Naoko Horiuchi, curator of NPO Arts Initiative Tokyo (AIT) will be moderating the event. The discussion will open up about the textile posters from the creative and personal viewpoints of both Tokuko Shimizu and the authors, some of whom were involved in the production of the posters from their inception.
The event is hosted at Hagiso which holds the exhibition of Shimizu’s work, and offers a great opportunity to see the textile posters first hand.
